The Vereniging Gemeenschappeljk Wonen sees community living as a habitat where a number of social goals are more likely to achieve development. Including: development opportunities for each individual, emcipation, dealing with environmental awareness, solidarity and social justice.

Aim of the Association (Dutch: Vereniging Gemeenschappelijk Wonen)

Promoting the development of cohousing communities (and other forms of intentional communities) by making information available to interested parties and citizens' groups to, to represent the interests of completed projects, contributing to policy development by national and local authorities in the field of housing and have enable and promote information and experience exchange among the members of intentional communities.
